OUR STORY
The owner and founder of Kenna Paints CC, Ken Naicker has a rich and protracted history in this field, more specifically working and promoting the Dulux brand.
After working diligently for 17 years at Dulux Paints Ken Naicker was sad to hear that he would be saying goodbye to a much-loved career in the paint industry, since Dulux intended on selling their stores as preferred stockists.
His love and belief in the success of this brand fuelled his decision to purchase the Greyville Paint and Paper store in April 1998. In January 2000 he purchased the Dulux Paint Center in Stamford Hill which catered to majority of the trade customers in Durban. He later decided to merge the Stamford Hill Paint Centre and the Dulux Paint n Paper in 2004.
His family shared in his vision and his daughters Treesha Naicker and Delia Naicker joined the business. The family dynamic reflects Ken and his wife Roshini Naicker’s humble, kind, patient, helpful and friendly presence and is the compass that navigates their daily business operation.
In 2016, Kenna Paints proudly opened the doors to a sister store in Durban North.
As a young and fairly inexperienced entrepreneur with an abundance of drive and moral support from his dad, Ken Naicker steered his label Kenna Paints into an established and renowned enterprise. 26 bright and beautiful years later, Kenna Paints has two flagship stores, highly-trained and diverse staff and an inherent passion to add colour to the world.
